Switzerland is a country of multiple people groups, the largest group is the German swiss but there are also Italian swiss and French swiss people in the country. Seeing as how France and Italy were at war during world war two, was there any animosity between these two groups in Switzerland?

What was religion like on pirate ships during the Golden Age of Piracy? Most of these sailors clearly came from Christian (or Muslim) backgrounds, and yet the influence of pagan faith is clear in nautical mythology and superstition. Just how "Christian" were these sailors and pirates, really?
